Dr Jon Anderson

Dr Jon Anderson is a locally trained orthopaedic surgeon having completed his surgical training in Queensland.

Dr Anderson has a special interest in knee injuries, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscal and cartilage injuries. He also treats degenerative knee conditions from joint preservation to joint replacement. He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA), Australian Medical Association (AMA) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). Dr Anderson currently holds a public appointment at the Mater Hospital.

Dr Anderson undertook a fellowship in the treatment and management of sports knee injuries with the Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre (BOSMC) with Dr Peter Myers and Dr Tim McMeniman.

Dr Anderson has a strong research interest, having completed a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) and currently undertaking a PhD in ACL outcomes through the University of Queensland (UQ). He models his practice on evidence-based medicine (EBM) in order to achieve the best outcomes for his patients.

Dr Anderson is passionate about mentoring and teaching medical students and orthopaedic registrars, and holds an academic title at the University of Queensland (UQ) as an Associate Lecturer.
